& Juliet Talkback 2025!
Eric Martin (any pronouns) was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario where they fell in love with acting at the age of nine years old. Eric went on to join music theatre summer programs in Hamilton doing full scale musicals every year and doing regular voice lessons training in
classical RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music) and musical theatre while also taking dance classes in tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance styles. Eric was accepted into Sheridan College for their Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance program for the Fall of 2019 where for four years Eric was shaped and curated into the contemporary, commercial, musical performer they are today. One small world pandemic later Eric graduated from Sheridan in April of ‘23 and then moved to Toronto the following August to pursue their career and hopefully open the door to more opportunities that come from ‘being in the thick of it’. Eric was working survival jobs for almost a year after graduation until they booked their first Equity professional show with the theatre company Drayton Entertainment doing the show Rock of Ages. After that closed, another year of working survival jobs went on until the big one came. February 2025 Eric was informed about the successful auditions they did for & Juliet and will be making their Mirvish debut in December of 2025 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, something they thought would almost never come. Eric is even currently serving at a restaurant to pay the bills while they wait, train and prepare for this huge step in their career. If you want to see Eric in action sooner than December 2025 Eric is in the new musical Two Left Feet playing the character Tim Shirley for the Toronto Fringe Festival for the Teen Friendly category! Shows are July 3rd (Eric’s birthday WOOHOO!), July 5th, July 6th, July 8th, July 9th, July 11th, and July 12th all at different times at the Michael Young Soulpepper Theatre! Look us up!
